Gunafa Clubbing at XS Club Frankfurt

starting 02.1992

:// notes

Very likely the first digital AUDIO-VISUAL techno club with online connection in the world. While Station Rose performed sound and visuals live (Gary Danner: Atari 1040ST, Elisa Rose: Commodore Amiga 3000), text messages were received and sent over email/instant messaging (early social web/netart version), which could be seen via 4 video beamers installed around the dancefloor. Several Frankfurt DJs were given the chance to spin at Gunafa Clubbings: DJ M/S/O, DJ Mark Spoon, DJ Ata, and many more.

Radical cross-border commuters & hippiesque futurisms

Together with PRINZ, the eccentric Viennese action couple will kidnap Station Rose on January 23rd. at 10 p.m. in the XS again into the world of cyberspace: Gary Danner and Elisa Rose continue to consistently rely on 300 BPM (beats per minute), futuristic-collage-like light projections, electronic tinkering, mind machines and brain drinks for their GUNAFA CLUBBING. As if Frank Zappa and Mr. Spock from the spaceship Enterprise had come up with the ideal synthesis between the '67 psychedelic hippie happening and ritual ceremonies on the volcano.
