"9.11. NETZWERKE" media-congress, curated by STATION ROSE at Kuenstlerhaus Mousonturm, Frankfurt, 9.11.2002

* Media-Installation "Electronic Habitat" for 9.11 Networks. STR constructed a digital media installation which could be physically entered as the main field for action. It was a living space which existed for one day. It was supposed to assist those attending to actually stay the distance of the marathon since the symposium started at 2p.m. and finished around 1a.m. in the morning. The conference took place in the Mousonturm, Frankfurt foyer and in the large theatre. Immaterial visuals and sounds did flow together with the materialized set-up of the installation. Projectors, monitors and exhibition objects made of specially printed materials were used. The art was digital and fluid, the surroundings were material, created by high-tech means of production. It met the softness of the materials. Modular units defined the installation. Art objects, individual pieces, created by STR especially for the conference, were put on the art market afterwards. Processual art which has arisen for the conference.

* Live performances and symposium with

* Webcasting
STR setup a STReaming transmission studio. The entire day and night marathon was STReamed in real-time to www.stationrose.com. STR remixed the conference in real-time. All the material was digital feed. The real-time aspect of 9.11. decided what was streamed and thus recorded forever. The marathon was simultaneously raw material with announcements and uncommercials.
The London group came in via videoconference.
