In autumn 1988 we were invited to exhibit and perform at Museum Ludwig, Cologne. As we set up a "mini-Station" there,
we called this performance being "on field duty".

Station im Aussendienst: Station Rose als Umschlagplatz für Medienkunst funktioniert in seiner komprimierten Größe als Anlaufstelle für verschiedene Informationen, als Vermittlungsstelle für Medienprojekte mit in- und ausländischen Kontaktpersonen, währenddessen multimediale Aufführungen an anderen Orten, zur selben Zeit stattfinden. Diese multimedialen Aufführungen heißen "STATION IM AUßENDIENST". Station im Außendienst ist ein Aspekt, der völlig gleichwertig neben den Projekten in der Schaltzentrale besteht.

Station in the field service: Station Rose as a transhipment point for media art functions in its compressed size as a contact point for various information, as an intermediary for media projects with domestic and foreign contacts, while multimedia performances take place in other locations at the same time. These multimedia performances are called "STATION IN THE FIELD SERVICE". Station in the field service is an aspect that is completely equivalent to the projects in the control center.
